I was at a retreat led by a woman who said rather sadly "I don't feel God's love and I want to feel it."
A much better approach might be to wake up to God's love, because God's love is constantly all around you, and even within you. You are always experiencing it, you just don't know it.
God's love comes to you through other people, first of all your parents. Hopefully they took good care of you.
God's love was in your siblings as well, and in your childhood friends who loved you. God's love comes to you through your pets. If you are married and have children, they are the incarnation of God's love for you.
God is constantly providing for you - providing air to breath, sunlight, rain so the plants you eat can grow, providing the clothes you are wearing, the home you live in. God provides the whole universe for your enjoyment. The sunsets, the mountains, the lakes, all this is God's love for you.
Most amazing of all, God's love is right inside you, guiding you to the right path through your heart, conscience, intuition, and dreams. God is in all the blessings in your life, past, present and future.
God is making love to you 24/7 through the universe and the people in your life. Jesus and the Buddha said over and over "Wake up!" That's all you have to do.
