Marriage Refresher Course



The Marriage Refresher Course is for thriving, average, or conflicted couples; those who want to avoid the pain and trauma of separation and divorce; those who want to be fully alive in their marriage.


There can be many challenges in marriage with the stress of jobs, childrearing, mortgages, illness, etc. and this is why in Canada there is a 35% divorce rate for first marriages and a 65% divorce rate for second marriages.


The Marriage Refresher Course can substantially increase the odds that, not only will you stay together, but you will become “soul-mates sharing life and love” which is the true purpose of marriage.

How Does the Marriage Refresher Course Work?



Dr. Tallman conducts the course with one couple at a time. You and your spouse meet with the marriage coach in one hour sessions on Zoom that are totally safe, supportive, and confidential. Sessions occur once a week (or whatever our schedules allow) for six sessions. The sessions are available days, evenings, and Saturdays year round.



The Marriage Coach



Dr. Bruce Tallman holds a doctorate in spiritual direction/counselling, works as a spiritual director and also coaches married couples as well as engaged couples. From 1988 to 2002 he helped over 1500 couples prepare for marriage in 50 group marriage preparation courses he facilitated for the Roman Catholic Diocese of London. Since August 2002 he has worked with over 2500 individual engaged and married couples from every Christian denomination as well as couples who are spiritual but not religious. All in all, he has helped about 4000 couples. Dr. Tallman has been married for many years and understands every kind of struggle couples go through. He and Grace have three wonderful adult children, three beautiful grandchildren, and are each other’s best friend.
